Welcome to my mom, life, and farm blog!

Here I share all the ins and outs of my little homestead/farm life.

Why Blogging?

I want to share my experiences in hopes they can help others. In this crazy world we live in today, I think we all could use a real life person sharing the ups and downs of life! I am a full time working mom, with way to many hobbies, and my husband and I also are trying to start a cattle farm. Spoiler alert-we never finish anything…

Our Farmstead

We started with this dinky little cabin, on our dream property. Some days I feel like we are still trying to adjust, even two years later, but we are surviving the small cabin life.

Monthly Mom/Garden/Farming Tasks

I am by no means “doing it all” and there are a ton of other working mothers out there doing way more than me. I still want to share what I can though! Every month I’ll share my homestead and gardening goals and things I need to be doing around the farm and house. Be sure to sign up for my emails so we can do them together!

Why all the gardening and homesteading?

In the simplest explanation, I want better for my family.

Between the stresses of the current typical American working mom lifestyle, and the unhealthy convenience foods that have become all too prevelant in our society, I fear the general health of the American population is rapidly declining. I myself suffer from Hashimotos, and I fully believe it was triggered by a mix of stress and environmental toxins. I personally don’t want to live a life of illness and I definitely want better for my family’s future. Homesteading has been a way for me to get back to the basics. It’s relaxing to me, and I feel better knowing I am providing the best I can for my family with what I have to work with.
